We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Foxy Sync (the “App”) on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac handles your data.
Foxy Sync displays the battery charge of your Apple devices (such as iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and AirPods) and, on supported versions, lets your iPhone or Apple Watch control your Mac. Foxy Sync does not require an account and does not collect personal information such as your name, email address or location. We do not run our own servers for this app and do not use third-party analytics or advertising.
To show battery levels, each device running Foxy Sync reads its own battery status from the operating system. The Mac version can also read the charge of connected accessories such as AirPods. For each device the App stores: its name, model type, battery level, charging state, the time of the last update, and the app and system version.
This data is used only to display battery levels inside the App and its widgets. It is not sent to us.
To show all your devices in one place, each device saves its battery information to your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) under your own Apple ID. Only devices signed in to the same Apple ID can read it. We cannot see this data.
Where remote control is available, commands (for example volume, playback, pointer movement or key presses) are sent directly between your iPhone or Apple Watch and your Mac over your local network, and are not routed through our servers. To keep this safe:
The App asks for permissions only when needed: Local Network (to find your Mac) and, for mouse and keyboard control, Accessibility on the Mac. You can withdraw any permission at any time in system settings.
Battery readings, paired devices and settings stay on your devices and in your private iCloud until you remove them. You can remove a device from the App, unpair a device on your Mac, or delete the App. Data in your iCloud can also be managed in your Apple ID settings.
Foxy Sync may send local notifications (for example, low-battery alerts) based on settings you choose. These preferences are stored on your device.
Premium features, if offered, are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Foxy Sync does not collect or store payment information.
Foxy Sync uses Apple frameworks (such as iCloud, WatchConnectivity and Apple Push Notification services) solely to provide its core functionality. The Mac version may check for updates on our website.
Foxy Sync does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
This Privacy Policy may be updated as the app develops. The “Effective Date” above will reflect the latest revision — please check back closer to launch.
